I started Glitty Jewels in 2019 because I noticed there was a lack of affordable custom gold-plated jewelry in Baltimore. I loved bamboo earrings, nameplate jewelry, anklets, and fashion accessories, but finding pieces that looked luxurious without paying luxury prices was almost impossible.
Growing up, I loved shopping at Claire’s. It was one of my favorite places because I could express myself through jewelry without spending a lot of money. As I got older, I realized my community deserved that same experience—but with styles that reflected our culture.
That’s when my vision became clear.
I wanted to build the Black-owned Claire’s for my hood—a place where anyone could find trendy, custom jewelry that looks expensive but is priced for everyday people.
At Glitty Jewels, I believe luxury shouldn’t come with a luxury price tag. My goal has always been to give my community access to beautiful, fashion-forward jewelry that’s affordable, high quality, and made to help you feel confident every time you wear it.
